The Electronics Packaging Lab (German abbrev. IAVT) is one of the Laboratories of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of Technische Universität Dresden.
In 2003 the IAVT emerged from the former Electronics Technology Lab, continuing the expertises and summarising the resources of the professorships Process Technology of Electronics (Emeritus Prof.Dr.-Ing.habil. Wilfried Sauer), Packaging (Emeritus Prof.Dr.-Ing.habil. Ekkehard Meusel) and Procedure Technology of Electronics (Prof.Dr.-Ing.habil. Klaus-Jürgen Wolter).
Since October 1st 2003 Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Klaus-Jürgen Wolter is the Director of IAVT.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Thomas Zerna is the Deputy Director.

The Centre of Microtechnical Manufacturing (German abbrev. ZµP) was founded in 1995. Since 1999 it is a central scientific institution of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of Technische Universität Dresden.
ZµP is acting in the field of processes and procedures of manufacturing electronic and microtechnical devices closely together with the Electronics Packaging Lab (IAVT) of the university. In addition to that ZµP is one of the know-how transfer centres of the Network of Competence Microtechnical Manufacturing.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Klaus-Jürgen Wolter is the Director of ZµP.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Thomas Zerna is the Scientific Coordinator of the ZµP.
